Anecdotal Evidence: A Personal History of Candid Photography With Photographer Fred Rosenberg

With nearly four decades of photography on the streets of Nelson, Fred Rosenberg is something of a local legend. In this presentation he’ll talk about the nature and the craft of candid photography—journalistic, naturalistic, and street—and his own exploratory journey. He’ll illustrate his points with his own photographs, and with examples of work by photographers he admires. Fred shoots only film, and almost entirely in black and white. A collection of Fred’s Nelson photographs was published last fall by Ceriph Press.
