Homeschool ZOOM viewing Author Talk

Monique Gray Smith will be joining Kootenay Libraries via Zoom to discuss the YA version of the popular book “Braiding Sweetgrass.”
Many students in local schools will be joining with their classes, homeschooling families are invited to join us in the Library for an in-person group viewing.

Participants are not required to read the book to attend the event, but we do have many copies available to borrow. It is a thick book, but it consists of many short, stand-alone chapters, great for reluctant readers as kids can dip their toe into the waters without getting to overwhelmed. Lots of charming illustrations too!
Monique Gray Smith has authored many titles on indigenous topics and stories, and would be of interest to future writers and storytellers.
