Become a Donor

There are several ways you can make a donation to the library:

A one-time direct donation to the Friends of the Library
Monthly planned giving through Canada Helps / Friends of the Library
A donation to the Osprey Foundation’s Library Fund
Incorporating a gift to the library in your estate planning.

Direct Donation

You can make a cash donation directly to the Library or to the Friends of the Library. When you make a direct donation, you may opt to direct the donation to the area of highest need or to one of the following areas:

Collections and Core Services
Community Connections
Literacy and Lifelong Learning
Technology
Capital Projects and Improvements

Canada Helps / Friends of the Library

Set up a monthly donation to the Friends of the Library through Canada Helps. All donations through Canada Helps go directly to the Nelson Library’s areas of highest need.

Osprey Foundation

This fund is held by the Osprey Community Foundation. Donations are invested, providing revenue year after year. For information on how to donate, call the Osprey Community Foundation at (250) 352-3643

Estate Planning

 A bequest in your will of money, stocks or bonds dedicated to the Library, or life insurance proceeds with the Library as a named beneficiary.

Sponsor a Magazine

NPL has a  Magazine Drive  in March! With your sponsorship for the cost of a subscription, each magazine will have a label with your name or organization, acknowledging your support (your sponsorship can also be anonymous if you prefer). Email library@nelson.ca  for more information.
