Creating Access: Exploring Life through a Disability-Friendly Lens

A conversation facilitated by Graceful Coaching.

What would a more accessible world look like?
How can we make our spaces more inclusive?
How do we create access?
How do we bring up accessibility in conversation?

We’ll explore these questions with consideration to our own access needs, how we feel when support is made available and when it is lacking, with sharing from host and participant alike about our experiences and ideas for the future.  This brave space is open to people of all identities and abilities and includes practical support such as general dos & don’ts, how to bring up accessibility in conversation and how to navigate conflicting needs.

Accessibility Information:

Hybrid in-person and online via Zoom.

Paid street parking available.

Event will be held on the lower level of the library:

Use the lift on the main floor or we’ll also have the side door on Victoria unlocked to access the library.

10 minute break midway.

Call 250-352-6333 or email Heather at hgoldik@nelson.ca to register.
