Computer & Internet Use
Computer and internet access is available for library members and guests at public access computer stations. All users must acknowledge and accept the Computer and Internet Use Policy required for access. Library members will require their library card number and Guests can obtain a guest pass at the Front Desk.
Free wifi access is available throughout the library, and our two Quiet Rooms offer wired public network connection.
Computers can be reserved for same day sessions at the Reservation Station located by the printer/copier, at the Front Desk, or by calling the library.
Nine computers with internet access are available in the Adult area. Library members and guests are allowed up to 120 minutes of computer use per day. Sessions are 60 minutes and can be extended on request if no one is waiting or has made a reservation.
Two teen computers with internet access are available in TeenScene. These computers are restricted to use by youth 13 to 17 years olds.
Two computers with filtered internet access are located in the children’s area on the lower level. These computers are restricted to use by children 12 years of age or under who have parental permission to use the Internet. This can be done by a parent verbally if he or she is with the child in the library or a note can be placed on the child’s library record indicating internet permission has been granted. Children are allowed a maximum of 60 minutes of computer use per day. Sessions are 20 minute with the option to extend time in 15 minute increments up to the maximum time available if no one is waiting or has made a reservation.
